StandardAero develops slot for Gogo installations with AVANCE upgrade.
More than 3,000 business aircraft currently have Gogo Classic ATG systems (ATG 8000, 5000, 4000, 2000, 1000) on board.

StandardAero has introduced a slot program specifically for Gogo Classic ATG customers who can reserve scheduled slots for installation at four of StandardAero’s U.S.-based facilities.

StandardAero, a prominent player in the aviation industry as one of the largest independent maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers, is gearing up to support Gogo Business Aviation’s network migration. As Gogo prepares for its transition from the Classic ATG (Air-to-Ground) system to the AVANCE system, StandardAero is taking proactive steps to facilitate this process. With a long-standing partnership that spans over 19 years, StandardAero has been a top installing and certifying dealer for Gogo, having successfully installed more than 455 Gogo systems during this period. Recognizing the impending demand for upgrades, StandardAero is allocating capacity across its extensive enterprise to accommodate the network migration.

To streamline the installation process, StandardAero has introduced a slot program specifically for Gogo Classic ATG customers. Through this program, customers can reserve scheduled slots for installation at four of StandardAero’s U.S.-based facilities: Augusta, GA; Houston, TX; Springfield, IL; and Van Nuys, CA. This strategic approach ensures that maintenance downtime is minimized, and customers’ connectivity upgrade needs are efficiently met.

“As we balance the increased levels of installation interest with anticipated lack of available floor space capacity, we are committed to minimizing maintenance downtime and mitigating interruptions for Gogo operators,” said, Tony Brancato, President of Business Aviation, StandardAero. “The slot program allows customers to rest easy knowing their Gogo inflight connectivity upgrade needs will be taken care of with timely care and attention,” he further added.

More than 3,000 business aircraft currently have Gogo Classic ATG systems (ATG 8000, 5000, 4000, 2000, 1000) on board. These aircraft have the opportunity to upgrade to the advanced Gogo AVANCE L3 or L5 systems ahead of the anticipated early 2026 LTE network migration. The transition to the AVANCE platform promises improved connectivity performance and positions operators to meet the growing demand for in-flight data consumption.

“We’re pleased one of our major MRO partners and platinum-level dealers is dedicating incremental labor and floor space through this slot program for Gogo Classic ATG to AVANCE upgrades,” said Sergio Aguirre, Gogo’s President and COO. “Our customers can count on the experts at StandardAero to help guide them through the technology transformation ahead of the migration,” he further added.
