Western Jet Aviation represents StandardAero’s 12th acquisition since 2015 as the company comprises a footprint of over 120,000 square feet of hangar, shop and office space on ten acres along with a team of nearly 100 aviation professionals.
StandardAero is one of the world’s largest independent providers of services including engine and airframe MRO, engine component repair, engineering services, interior completions and paint applications, has acquired Western Jet Aviation, which also operates a facility at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport in Florida. One of the busiest business aviation airports in the world, Van Nuys, California, is home to Western Jet Aviation, an independently owned business jet maintenance company that specialises in Gulfstream aircraft.
Western Jet Aviation is the 12th acquisition made by StandardAero since 2015. The company has a ten-acre footprint with over 120,000 square feet of hangar, shop, and office space, as well as a staff of almost 100 aviation professionals. This represents StandardAero’s first recent acquisition that concentrates on airframe/non-engine work. In addition to tip-to-tail maintenance and interior services for GIV and G200 through G650, Western Jet Aviation is a certified repair station that also provides heavy avionics support on numerous other well-known business aviation aircraft.

A wide range of AOG and scheduled maintenance services, such as airframe inspections, engine and APU troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair, part sales, interior soft good modifications and wood repair, and significant structural repairs are all provided to business jet customers by Western Jet Aviation. The avionics instal shop offers comprehensive cockpit and cabin management system upgrades, in-flight connectivity installations, annual certifications, troubleshooting, field support, and OEM extended warranty programmes, among other services, for the majority of the major business jet platforms.

Western Jet Aviation is FAA and EASA certified, OEM licenced, and has the ability to offer upgrades and modifications to customers, just like StandardAero. Rolls-Royce Tay, Spey, BR710, and BR725 engines are serviced by Western Jet Aviation, and Honeywell 36 series and RE220 series APUs are also maintained.
