The acquisition of additional aircraft positions SpiceJet to effectively address the escalating demand for air travel, particularly during the bustling summer months.

In recent developments, SpiceJet has successfully concluded settlements with key aircraft lessors, resulting in substantial fleet reinforcements and significant cost savings for the airline. Notably, on March 7, SpiceJet announced the resolution of a $49.8 million (INR 413 Crore) dispute with Echelon Ireland Madison One Ltd., which facilitated savings of $48 million (INR 398 Crore) and the acquisition of two airframes.

Furthermore, SpiceJet resolved an $11.2 million (INR 93 Crore) dispute with aircraft leasing firm Cross Ocean Partners, leading to the transfer of an airframe and an engine to the airline. Additionally, SpiceJet and Celestial Aviation, a subsidiary of AerCap, reached a mutual settlement for their $29.9 million (INR 250 Crore) dispute, resulting in savings of INR 235 Crore for SpiceJet.
