Before joining SmartLynx, he served as Fleet Director at the Spanish airline Volotea and General Manager at Sky Express Airlines.

Harris will oversee fleet utilization and efficiency, working closely with various departments to align the fleet with SmartLynx’s strategic goals.

SmartLynx Airlines, a prominent global player in ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance), cargo, and charter services, has appointed Harris Manolopoulos as its new Director of Fleet. In this role, Harris will oversee fleet utilization and efficiency, working closely with various departments to align the fleet with SmartLynx’s strategic goals.

With nearly 20 years of aviation experience, Harris brings extensive expertise in fleet management. Before joining SmartLynx, he served as Fleet Director at the Spanish airline Volotea and General Manager at Sky Express Airlines.

At SmartLynx, Harris will lead the Fleet Management department, overseeing all aspects of the airline’s passenger and cargo fleets. Currently, SmartLynx operates a diverse fleet of 69 aircraft, including A320, A321, A330, A321F, and Boeing 737MAX8. By the end of the year, the airline will expand its cargo fleet with the addition of its 14th A321P2F.
