Silk Way West Airlines, the prominent cargo airline operating in the Caspian and Central Asian region, has reinforced its commitment to modern and eco-friendly fleet operations by expanding its contract with Boeing to acquire an additional Boeing 777 Freighter. This newly added aircraft is slated for delivery in 2025 and represents an extension to the original agreement inked in April 2021. This move underscores Silk Way West Airlines’ dedication to sustainability within the air cargo industry.

Established in 2012 in Baku, at the heart of the Silk Road, Silk Way West Airlines operates a robust network of hundreds of flights every month across the globe. The airline boasts a fleet comprising 14 dedicated Boeing 777F, 747-8F, and 747-400F aircraft based at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Silk Way West Airlines signed a strategic fleet expansion agreement with Boeing on April 28, 2021, for the purchase of five new 777 Freighters, followed by another agreement on November 10, 2022, for the acquisition of two state-of-the-art 777-8 Freighters. Additionally, the airline secured the purchase of two Airbus A350 Freighters on June 28, 2022.
