Sikorsky has selected Česká letecká servisní (ČLS) as its first authorised distribution centre for Black Hawk helicopter parts in the European Union, expanding regional access to components for the growing S-70 and UH-60 fleet.
Under the agreement, ČLS will stock Sikorsky-recommended parts at its warehouse in the Czech Republic for distribution across the European Union. The inventory is intended to improve access to frequently required components and reduce parts lead times for operators supporting S-70, UH-60M and UH-60A/L helicopters.
More than 150 Black Hawk helicopters are currently operating in the European Union, increasing the requirement for a regional parts network to support maintenance and fleet availability.
“As the Hawk helicopter fleet grows in Europe, we are committed to supporting operator readiness for emergency response, security operations and more,” said Rich Benton, vice president and general manager, Sikorsky. He added, “By working alongside ČLS, we are strengthening our service footprint in the European Union and ensuring timely parts delivery for Black Hawk helicopters.”
ČLS was selected following Sikorsky’s review and evaluation process covering quality, processes, and policy requirements for authorised distribution centres.
“Being appointed an authorized Sikorsky distribution center for the European Union countries marks a significant milestone for ČLS and proves our expertise in modernizations and after-sales support of helicopter platforms,” highlighted Monika Kowalczykova, CEO of ČLS.
The new distribution centre forms part of Sikorsky’s regional sustainment strategy, which includes parts distribution networks in South America, the Middle East and Asia. The Czech facility is the company’s first authorised distribution centre in the European Union.

ČLS is also working with Sikorsky, PZL Mielec and United Rotorcraft on the S-70 FIREHAWK programme for the Czech Republic. The S-70 Black Hawk is manufactured by PZL Mielec in Poland, providing an additional regional link for production, parts supply and helicopter support.
For European Black Hawk operators, the new facility is expected to improve access to spare parts and support maintenance activities as the regional fleet expands.
