SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) has completed the acquisition of a 30 per cent stake in the enlarged share capital of Arport Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering (Fujian) Co., Ltd. (Arport AME), establishing an MRO joint venture in Fujian, China.
The transaction was completed on August 26, 2026, after all conditions required for completion were fulfilled. SIAEC announced the agreement in March 2026 as part of plans to establish the joint venture with Xiamen Iport Group (IPORT Group) and the existing shareholders of Arport AME.
Following completion, Arport AME has become an associated company of SIAEC. SIAEC holds a 30 per cent interest, while Arport (Xiamen) International Airport Co., Ltd. holds 38.5 per cent and Arport (Fuzhou) International Airport Co., Ltd. holds the remaining 31.5 per cent.
The joint venture will expand SIAEC’s presence in China’s aircraft maintenance market and provide an MRO platform in Fujian. The transaction brings together SIAEC’s aircraft maintenance expertise with the airport-related operations of the Arport companies.
SIAEC and its wholly owned subsidiary, SIAEC Global Private Limited, entered into the agreements with Arport AME, IPORT Group and the company’s direct shareholders in March 2026.

SIAEC said the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on the group’s consolidated net tangible assets per share or earnings per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2027.
The completion adds another joint venture to SIAEC’s international MRO network as the company continues to develop aircraft maintenance capabilities outside Singapore.
