The Senior Aerospace EBU system will function as the critical interface between the PW127XT-S engines and the D328eco aircraft’s integrated systems.

Deutsche Aircraft and Senior plc have finalized a life-of-program contract for the D328eco regional turboprop. This agreement entails the design, development, and production of the Bleed Air System and the Engine Build-Up (EBU) system for the new 40-seat D328eco regional turboprop aircraft. The Senior Aerospace EBU system will function as the critical interface between the PW127XT-S engines and the aircraft’s integrated systems.

Launie Fleming, CEO of Senior Aerospace, expressed the significance of this contract at the Farnborough International Airshow, saying, “We are delighted to be awarded this contract from Deutsche Aircraft for the advanced, sustainable D328eco platform. This is a tangible example of our purpose in action – helping to engineer the transition to a more sustainable world for the benefit of all our stakeholders. We look forward to supporting Deutsche Aircraft through the development of this exciting new aircraft.”

The D328eco is poised to set new benchmarks in aviation as the most advanced, energy-efficient, and cost-effective 40-seat regional turboprop available. Building on the legacy of the in-service D328 turboprop, the D328eco will incorporate state-of-the-art flight deck systems, a SAF-compatible airframe, and highly efficient engines.

Dave Jackson, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft commented on this new partnership, said, “We are looking forward to our collaboration with Senior, a manufacturer of high technology components and a systems provider that will support the EBU for our innovative new turboprop, the D328eco.”

The design phase for the D328eco aircraft will be conducted at Senior’s SSP facility located in Burbank, California, USA. Subsequently, the manufacturing of the system components will be executed at the Senior Bird Bellows facility in Congleton, Cheshire, UK. The final assembly of the D328eco aircraft will take place at the new assembly line situated at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany.
