Satair Group’s new CEO to steer through next stages of company’s strategy

Satair Group’s new chief executive officer Bart Reijnen recently took charge of office succeeding former CEO Mikkel Bardram, who has chosen to pursue new adventures and opportunities outside Satair Group.

An aerospace engineer by training, Bart Reijnen has been working for the Airbus Group in various roles since 1995. He was the Senior Vice President at Airbus Defence and Space at Bremen in Germany for the past three years.

“I am excited to be back in the aviation industry. I am particularly looking forward to learning quickly about the material services market and to meeting many of Satair Group’s customers and partners to get a better understanding of how the business will further excel in providing best value services,” said Reijnen, CEO, Satair Group.

In his farewell message, Mikkel Bardram said that it was with both pleasure and a heavy heart that he was leaving Satair Group.

“It has been a pleasure because I have had 10 amazing years with Satair and Satair Group during which I have had the honour to work with fantastic customers, colleagues and business partners. And it is a heavy heart because of just that; I have to say goodbye to all these amazing partnerships – and even friendships – that have been built up throughout the years,” said Bardram.

First starting with Satair A/S in 2006 Bardram headed up strategy development and execution and mergers and acquisitions. He rose to become Group Vice President Supply Chain, responsible for the entire supply chain in locations worldwide. He was responsible for the merger of Satair A/S and Airbus Material and Logistics Management and took over as CEO of the new Satair Group in January 2014. Under his leadership the business saw immense growth.

“Satair Group is growing very well and the company is very powerfully positioned in the market with a strong service and product portfolio. The foundation in Satair Group is secure and I am sure that Bart will bring forward our company legacy of openness, respect and a pragmatic and professional approach to the business. I have full confidence in Bart’s personal and professional skills and wish him and Satair Group all the best on the journey to consolidate Satair Group’s lead in the aerospace aftermarket,” added Bardram.
