Safran to support Play’s Airbus A320neo nacelle fleet.
Play currently operates 7 aircraft. 8 more will join the fleet in the years to come.

Play will have access to a Safran Nacelles shared pool of nacelles end-items and will receive the OEM guaranteed MRO solutions at the company’s repair station in Pont Audemer, France.

Safran Nacelles, a French multinational company that designs, develops and manufactures aircraft engines as well as various aerospace equipment and components have signed a 12-year agreement with Play for the support of the nacelles of their 15 Airbus A320neo powered by CFM LEAP-1A turbofan engines. Play, an Icelandic low-cost airline currently operates 7 aircraft. 8 more will join the fleet in the years to come. CFM is a 50/50 joint company between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE.

According to the agreement, Play will have access to Safran Nacelles’ shared pool of nacelles end-items. The airline will also be benefited from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guaranteed Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) solutions at Safran Nacelles repair station in Pont Audemer, France.

Safran Nacelles’ repair services and spare resources are part of the company’s NacelleLife support program, which ensures responsive, cost-effective and high-quality services that keep airliners in operational condition while minimizing costs.
