Saab, the international defense and security solutions provider, has acquired all shares in BlueBear, a leading provider of AI-enabled autonomous swarm systems for complex defense and security applications. This strategic acquisition is part of Saab’s ongoing international growth journey, focusing on key markets such as the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, and Germany. BlueBear, located outside Bedford, England, employs 65 professionals and achieved a turnover of £8 million in 2022. The company’s expertise lies in integrating AI-enabled autonomous swarm systems, making it a valuable addition to Saab’s portfolio.

The integration of Saab’s world-leading products, services, and solutions with BlueBear’s agile capabilities in AI-enabled autonomous swarm systems is expected to drive Saab’s future capabilities significantly.
