RTX has named Jill Albertelli as president of Pratt & Whitney, effective January 1, 2027. She will report to RTX Chairman and CEO Chris Calio and succeeds Shane Eddy.
Albertelli has more than three decades of experience at Pratt & Whitney across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain management, commercial programmes, sales, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), transformation and strategy.
She most recently served as president of Pratt & Whitney Military Engines, where she was responsible for the company’s military engine business, including the F135 engine programme.
During her tenure, Pratt & Whitney improved F135 engine delivery and quality performance and expanded sustainment capability and capacity to support military fleet readiness.
“Jill is a seasoned and highly respected leader with over three decades of experience across nearly every corner of Pratt & Whitney,” said Chris Calio. “Her proven track record and deep understanding of the business and our customer base make her the right person to lead Pratt & Whitney into the future.”
Albertelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Eddy will remain with RTX through March 2027 as a special advisor to support the leadership transition. He became president of Pratt & Whitney in 2022 after a career spanning more than 40 years, including his early work as a flight line mechanic.
During his tenure as president, Eddy oversaw Pratt & Whitney’s transformation programme and the production and sustainment ramp-up for the GTF and F135 engine programmes.

“Shane’s steadfast leadership – paired with his relentless focus on our CORE operating system, our people and our customers – helped Pratt & Whitney achieve record sales growth and positioned the business for continued success,” said Calio.
Albertelli will take over Pratt & Whitney as the company continues to manage production, engine maintenance and sustainment requirements across its commercial and military engine programmes.
