Royal Jordanian selects Ramco Systems to drive digital MRO transformation

Royal Jordanian Airlines has selected Ramco Systems’ Aviation Software following a comprehensive evaluation of global aviation software solutions. The deployment is aimed at strengthening the airline’s operational efficiency, maintenance capabilities and digital infrastructure as it modernises its fleet and expands its network.

Ramco’s aviation platform will provide Royal Jordanian with a unified digital environment covering Engineering and CAMO, line, hangar and shop maintenance, supply chain management, safety, quality and compliance, as well as MRO and parts sales.

The platform will also support centralised technical documentation and audit-ready reporting, giving the airline greater visibility and control across its maintenance and engineering operations.

As part of the implementation, Royal Jordanian will also adopt Ramco’s digital enablers, including digital task cards, mobile applications and operational dashboards. These capabilities are designed to provide real-time visibility, support paperless maintenance processes and improve operational agility across the airline’s technical functions.

The software will integrate with Royal Jordanian’s existing IT environment, enabling data to flow across different operational functions and reducing fragmentation between maintenance, engineering, supply chain and compliance activities.

Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO, Royal Jordanian Airlines, said digital transformation is a key element of the airline’s growth strategy as it modernises its fleet and expands its network. “As we continue modernizing our fleet and expanding our network, we are equally committed to investing in advanced technologies that enhance operational performance, improve efficiency, and support the highest standards of safety,” Majali said. “Our partnership with Ramco reflects that commitment and reinforces the digital capabilities needed to support our future growth.”

For Ramco Systems, the agreement reflects the increasing demand among airlines for integrated aviation platforms capable of supporting maintenance operations at scale.

Sandesh Bilagi, Chief Executive Officer, Ramco Systems, said the selection demonstrates the company’s understanding of the operational requirements of airlines seeking greater reliability and resilience. “As Royal Jordanian continues to grow, our platform will help simplify maintenance and engineering operations, while our investments in next generation technologies such as AI and agentic automation will help their teams achieve greater operational resilience,” Bilagi said.

Ramco said its Aviation Software platform is currently used by more than 24,000 users managing over 4,000 aircraft globally, with more than 90 aviation organisations using its solutions. The platform supports airlines, third-party MRO providers, helicopter operators, defence organisations and urban air mobility companies.

Available through the cloud, the Ramco Aviation Suite includes mobile applications, AI-based capabilities, voice-enabled user interfaces, digital task cards, offline maintenance functionality, conversational chatbots and other cognitive solutions.

For Royal Jordanian, the implementation represents a move towards a more connected and data-driven maintenance environment, with digital tools supporting its broader fleet modernisation and network expansion strategy. The deployment also highlights the growing role of integrated MRO software in helping airlines improve fleet availability, compliance, maintenance efficiency and operational resilience as aviation organisations manage increasingly complex fleets and supply chains.
