Engine maintenance to cover to the Asian carriers three Airbus A330 Aircraft.

Engine manufacturer’s TotalCare signed an engine maintenance and service agreement with South Korean Carrier T’way for the first time. With the selection of TotalCare, the Asian carrier becomes one more airline to join the ever-growing community of airline operators to repose their trust in the services of TotalCare.

In yet another first, Rolls Royce’s Trent 700 engines have been operated by a South Korean airline – a reflection of the engine variant’s world-wide preference.

TotalCare is a service concept from the Rolls Royce stable that applies predictability and reliability in its engine maintenance planning.

The benefits accrued under this agreement will include a secured cost of operating and maintenance of T’way’s Trent 700 engines, basis a ‘dollar-per-flying-hour’ payment mechanism. Furthermore, TotalCare will deliver enhanced aircraft availability given the engine manufactures expertise in advanced engine health monitoring.

According to Mr Kim Hyung-yi, T’way Air Vice President, “Our A330s are the first widebodies in our fleet, and provide a significant expansion in the levels of service we can provide our passengers. We value this TotalCare agreement, which will maximise aircraft availability and efficiency, allowing us to provide outstanding customer service.”

Chris Davie, Senior Vice President – Customers, Rolls-Royce, said “We warmly welcome T’way to our TotalCare family of operators. They have bold plans for their A330 aircraft and we are honoured to be supporting their entry into service every step of the way with an incredible engine that continues to provide value to new customers and new territories.”
