Rolls-Royce to build Trent 7000s in Singapore

UK engine maker Rolls-Royce plans to build more than 300 Trent 7000 engines in Seletar, Singapore, according to reports.
Air Transport World said that the OEM decided to take production of the engine to Singapore after the success of the Seletar facility in building Trent 1000 engines for the 787.

The first delivery of the A330neo is scheduled for 2017.

The OEM also told the publication that it plans to increase its power plant production from 170 a year to 250 annually by 2017 while also raising production levels for its titanium fan blades.
