Swiss air rescue organisation Rega went live with AMOSeTL, the electronic technical logbook solution from Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS), across its three Challenger CL650 aircraft in July 2026.
The implementation was completed in four months. Rega has used Swiss-AS‘s AMOS maintenance management system since 1992 for maintenance operations covering its helicopter and air ambulance aircraft.
AMOSeTL connects aircraft technical information with Rega’s AMOS-based maintenance processes. Flight crews and maintenance personnel can record, access, and manage technical information electronically through the system.
The digital workflow replaces manual handling of technical log information and allows maintenance personnel to access information recorded by flight crews through the maintenance system. This provides a digital record of the aircraft’s reported technical status.
The initial implementation focused on Pilot Mode, which is now used for flight operations. Mechanic Mode is currently used mainly for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, allowing maintenance personnel to access and manage technical-log information when an aircraft requires maintenance attention.
Rega’s first flight using AMOSeTL was conducted by its Chief Pilot as part of the initial operational deployment of the electronic technical log.

The implementation was carried out within a defined project scope, with training provided by the project team. The initial deployment covers pilot operations, while further use of the system can be developed according to Rega’s operational requirements.
Rega operates a specialised fleet for air rescue, medical assistance and emergency air transport. The introduction of AMOSeTL adds an electronic technical log process to its existing AMOS maintenance environment for the Challenger CL650 fleet.
