RECARO Aircraft Seating announces a new seat naming strategy aligned with the renowned RECARO brand. The updated names, spanning from R1 to R7, represent the diverse classes and features of the seating solutions. This includes the R Sphere sustainable seat innovation, alongside a business class seat integrated with smart technology, and a comprehensive product overview.

Through its recent seat name rebranding initiative, RECARO aims to provide enhanced clarity for its customers, thereby simplifying their product portfolio from the efficient economy class seat to the luxurious business class seat. The updated seat names comprise: 

  • R1: Formerly SL3710 (short/med-range, Economy class)
  • R2: Formerly BL3710 (short/med-range, Economy class)
  • R3: Formerly CL3810 (med/long-range, Economy class)
  • R4: Formerly PL3810 (Premium class)
  • R5: Formerly CL4710 (Business class)
  • R7: Formerly CL6720 (lie-flat Business class)
