The upcoming Qsuite Next Gen, designated for the additional order of Boeing 777-9 aircraft and other models.

Qatar Airways will also get 40 additional GE9X engines and spare units, alongside a comprehensive long-term service agreement.

Qatar Airways has expanded its substantial order of Boeing 777X aircraft by adding 20 Boeing 777-9 variants to its existing commitment of 40. This increases their total order to 94 Boeing 777X aircraft for both commercial and cargo operations. The announcement also encompasses a pledge for 40 additional GE9X engines and spare units, alongside a comprehensive long-term service agreement.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said, “Qatar Airways is proud to announce an expansion to the existing Boeing 777X aircraft order with an additional 20, totalling 94 Boeing 777X aircraft. During the Farnborough International Airshow 2024, the airline announced that the upcoming Qsuite Next Gen, designated for the additional order of Boeing 777-9 aircraft and other models, represents the latest evolution of the acclaimed World’s Best Business Class. 

Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO, Stephanie Pope, said, “Qatar Airways is a leader in our industry, and we are honored the airline added 20 more 777-9 jets to its large Boeing order book. The highly-anticipated Qsuite Next Gen includes movable monitors with Bluetooth capability, companion suites offering window views, expanded lie-flat and double beds, secure lockable drawers, touchscreen Passenger Control Units, and additional innovations designed to elevate the passenger experience.
