Qatar Airways Enhances Passenger Experience in MENA with SpaceX’s Advanced Satellite Internet Technology  

Qatar Airways, a multiple award-winning airline, has announced the introduction of Starlink’s innovative high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi on three of its Boeing 777-300 aircraft by the last quarter of 2024. This initiative marks the initial phase of its rollout strategy, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to enhancing the passenger experience. Qatar Airways plans to progressively extend SpaceX-powered technology across its entire modern fleet within the next two years.  

The announcement was made in the presence of Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, and Mr. Mike Nicolls, Vice President of Starlink Engineering at SpaceX.

Soon, all Qatar Airways passengers will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the world’s best in-flight connectivity from the comfort of their seats.” stated Starlink Engineering Vice President at SpaceX, Mike Nicolls.

With just a “one-click access,” travelers may access the high-speed, low-latency network thanks to Qatar Airways’ ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, which can reach 500 megabits per second per aircraft. This enables users to take use of a wide range of internet-based services, such as improved web browsing, online gaming, streaming of their preferred sports and entertainment, and more.
