Ontic expands its footprint with new manufacturing facility in Weston

Ontic, a leading provider of aerospace parts and services for civil and military aircraft, has signed a long-term lease for a new 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Weston, Florida, further strengthening its operational presence in South Florida and supporting future growth.

The new facility, which becomes Ontic’s tenth global site, is located less than 20 miles from the company’s 65,000-square-foot Miramar facility that opened in 2025. While Miramar focuses on maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities, the Weston site will be dedicated to Original Equipment (OE) production, creating additional capacity to meet growing customer demand.

The expansion comes as Ontic continues to grow its portfolio of licensed aerospace product lines. With each new licensing agreement increasing manufacturing requirements, the company is investing in infrastructure to ensure it can efficiently support both existing and future programs.

The Weston lease follows another major investment by Ontic: the acquisition of a new MRO facility in Tewkesbury, United Kingdom, which is expected to become fully operational by September 2026.

“As our business continues to expand, we are proactively securing the capacity to support our operational requirements today and for the foreseeable future,” said Brian Sartain, Chief Operating Officer at Ontic. “Weston gives us an additional dedicated site for OE production and the room to keep taking on new lines, all while maintaining the availability and reliability our customers depend on.

“South Florida continues to be a center of aviation manufacturing for the entire sector, and we will benefit from the highly skilled workforce that resides there. This site had everything we needed to invest for the long term.”

Before operations begin in 2027, the Weston facility will undergo significant upgrades, including expanded power infrastructure, full-building air conditioning, and specialized enhancements designed to support advanced aerospace manufacturing requirements.

The investment reinforces Ontic’s long-term growth strategy, increases production capacity, and positions the company to capitalize on future opportunities while continuing to deliver critical aerospace products and services to customers worldwide.
