Oman Air has renewed its 787 Component Services Program agreement with Boeing for another 10 years, extending component support for its 787-9 fleet.
Under the agreement, Oman Air will continue to use Boeing’s Component Services Program for access to serviceable components, along with repair, overhaul, modification and logistics support.
The programme uses a shared pool of components to support airline requirements. Boeing manages component repair and overhaul through its approved facilities and partners, while providing logistics and supply chain services.
The extended agreement is intended to support component availability and aircraft dispatch reliability as Oman Air continues to operate its Boeing 787 fleet.
William Ampofo, Senior Vice President, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services, said, “Our global reach and original equipment manufacturer expertise allow us to deliver support that helps airlines like Oman Air manage their fleets with confidence.”
“This renewal reinforces the trust we have in Boeing as a long-term partner that helps us maintain a reliable 787 operation”, said Capt. Nasser Al Salmi, Chief Operating Officer, Oman Air.

The 10-year extension provides Oman Air with continued access to Boeing’s component support network, covering the supply, repair and overhaul requirements associated with its 787 fleet.
The agreement also allows Boeing to manage component availability and logistics through the programme, reducing the need for Oman Air to maintain all required serviceable components within its own inventory.
