Following are the agreements/announcements at MRO Asia-Pacific 2022.

  • Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) has awarded the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services contract to Safran Landing Systems for 14 aircraft of its Airbus A320 fleet. The Safran Landing Systems repair workshop in Singapore will perform the airline’s complete overhaul and repair business for the next three years. The facility is Safran’s joint venture with Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SiAEC). The plant is staffed with over 300 highly skilled MRO specialists, ensuring reliable, responsive and cost-effective services to support airlines operations.

  • HAECO Cabin Solutions, and ANH Structure, have formed partnership for the development of Supplemental Type Certificate solutions in South Korea for airline customers on reconfiguration projects. The two companies will collectively provide joint technical and commercial proposals on a case-by-case basis for reconfiguration projects applicable to Asian airline customers. An agreement was signed to serve airline customers with engineering services and associated kits in Asia.

  • Safran Landing Systems has received an order to carry out the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations on the landing gear for around 30 Philippine Airlines (PAL) Airbus A330 and A320 fleet. The contract will commence in 2022 and run through 2024 for eight A330 widebody aircraft and through 2025 for twenty A320 and A321 aircraft. These maintenance operations will be carried out at Safran’s Singapore workshop, a joint venture with Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC).  

  • Safran Nacelles has entered in a contract with Spring Airlines to support the nacelles of the airline’s fleet of Airbus A320neo equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines over a period of 3 years. Spring Airlines be given the access to Safran Nacelles shared pool of nacelles end-items. These contracts are carried out as part of the NacelleLife support and services packages. Spring Airlines will also benefit from OEM guaranteed Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) solutions at Safran Nacelles new repair station in Suzhou, China.

  • ATR has signed a Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) contract with Toki Air for the operation of its two leased ATR 72-600 due to start in 2023. Toki Air aims to deploy its services to revitalize Niigata city by increasing connections within and between surrounding regions, linking communities and supporting growth in a responsible way. Toki Air will ensure the reliability of its new operations by benefiting from a ten-year ATR GMA contract which will cover the onsite stock, Line Replaceable Unit Pool Exchange Service, Line Replaceable Unit Repair Service, propeller blades and landing gears.
