Metrojet awarded three-year IS-BAO stage 3 certification renewal

Metrojet awarded three-year IS-BAO stage 3 certification renewal.
The IS-BAO certification is awarded to Metrojet Limited for another three-year period through 2025.

IS-BAO is a set of safety standards developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) establishing a framework for effective safety and operational processes.

Metrojet Limited, a Hong Kong-based provider of business aviation services to users in the Asia Pacific region has announced that the company has received its second successful renewal of the International Standard Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) Stage 3 certification. The IS-BAO certification is awarded to Metrojet Limited for another three-year period through 2025. In addition to being a Gulfstream Authorized Warranty Repair Facility, Metrojet also maintains Boeing BBJ.

“Metrojet was the first business aviation organisation in Asia to develop our own SMS and to obtain SMS certification. It has always been our goal to pioneer and maintain high safety and quality standards in all areas. We are delighted to see our efforts in maintaining world-class standards being accredited,” said Mr Gary Dolski, CEO, Metrojet.

IS-BAO is a set of safety standards developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) establishing a framework for effective safety and operational processes, providing tools to facilitate the implementation of best practices, and delivering an appropriate Safety Management System (SMS). There are three stages of certification included in the IS-BAO programme and Metrojet after initially attaining IS-BAO accreditation in 2011, has achieved Stage 3 which is currently the highest attainable level, in 2016, 2019 and most recently in October 2022.

William Mermelstein, IBAC authorised Auditor, IS-BAO said, “The ability and willingness of the Metrojet team to provide expanded audit interview responses demonstrated that maximum utilisation of the IS-BAO standards, and an effective SMS programme is an engrained culture, and not just a guideline or standard to follow. Metrojet is emboldened to the true meaning of a fully integrated Stage 3+ operation.”
