Magnetic Engines completes Core Performance Restoration on Thai Airways' CFM56-3 engines.
Performance restoration of CFM56 engine series successfully transformed for Thai Airways.

Magnetic Engines announced the successful completion of core performance restoration on two CFM56-3 engines for Thai Airways, one of our renowned clients.

The Magnetic Group company Magnetic Engines expressed their pride in successfully completing the two CFM56-3 engines of Thai Airways, one of the important clients of Magnetic Engines. These engines demonstrated great performance throughout demanding test cell runs, Roke said, with a remarkable 31 degrees of EGT Margin at 23,500 pounds of thrust, underscoring the superior caliber of our engine repair services.

Laura Roke, Business Development Manager at Magnetic Group, said, “This achievement marks a significant milestone for Magnetic Engines as it represents our first full-core performance restoration on the CFM56 engine series.”

Repairing spare parts is currently facing enormous difficulties. Engine part repair turnaround times are getting longer as repair vendors continue to struggle with decreased output. The engine repair procedure has been greatly lengthened since some components now take 120–150 days to repair, compared to the 30–60 days they used to require before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Engine team is able to utilize exchanges thanks to the Magnetic Trading team’s proactive coordination, which significantly cuts the turnaround time for repairs.
