As a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Air Serbia plays a crucial role in connecting Serbia to international destinations.

The Lufthansa Technik agreement encompasses MRO services, spare parts pooling, and homebase services for the required components on Air Serbia  Airbus A320ceo fleet in Belgrade, Serbia, starting from January 2024. 

Lufthansa Technik has entered a minimum five-year contract with Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, for Total Component Support (TCS) for their existing and future Airbus A320ceo family fleet. The agreement encompasses Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services, spare parts pooling, and homebase services for the required components in Belgrade, Serbia, starting from January 2024. Lufthansa Technik has been supporting Air Serbia with landing gear and other services for its Airbus A320 fleet since 2020. The expanded contract underlines the growing collaboration between the two entities.

Jiri Marek, CEO, Air Serbia said, “We have ambitious goals for our airline, and if we look toward the end of the next decade, our airline could have more than 50 aircraft. This requires a reliable partner that supports us with the best possible services – also at our home base in Belgrade. The partnership with Lufthansa Technik will therefore contribute to the operational excellence for Air Serbia.”

Air Serbia, operating since October 2013, is the successor of the first national airline, Aeroput, established in Belgrade in 1927. The airline operates scheduled, seasonal, and charter flights to over 80 destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia, and Africa, in both passenger and cargo traffic. As a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Air Serbia plays a crucial role in connecting Serbia to international destinations.
