Lufthansa Technik signs five-year TCS contract for Smartwings’ Boeing 737NG fleet

Lufthansa Technik has already started the support services for the Smartwings Boeing 737NG fleet.

The Lufthansa Technik TCS contract will cover the repair and overhaul of components for Smartwings’ fleet of 30 Boeing 737NG aircraft.

Lufthansa Technik, a worldwide provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for aircraft, engines, and components has signed a five years comprehensive Total Component Support (TCS) contract with Smartwings, a low-cost leisure Czech airline. The TCS contract signed between the two companies will cover the repair and overhaul of components for Smartwings’ fleet of 30 Boeing 737NG aircraft. Lufthansa Technik has already started the support services for the fleet.

The Total Component Support TCS agreement will provide different benefits for Smartwings. The company will benefit from an individual supply concept that enables short and rapid transport paths. The new Total Component Support (TCS) contract includes component MRO services and pool access as well as component delivery to selected international airports within Europe.

Lufthansa Technik and Smartwings share existing business contracts as the former already provides comprehensive engine services for Smartwings’ CFM56-7B powered Boeing 737NG fleet as well as the Total Components Support services for Smartwings’ B737 MAX 8 aircraft.
