Lufthansa Technik announced several key management changes
Effective August 1, Tim-Oliver Fedeler is now Managing Director of Component Services Asia Pacific, Jens Michel is Vice President Sales North East Asia, and Dr. Alexander Sixt is Managing Director at Lufthansa Technik Intercoat.

With “Ambition 2030”, Lufthansa Technik aims to further expand its leading global position in the technical support of aircraft fleets.

As of May 1, Michael Kirstein has been named Vice President of the “Transformation Office,” where he will lead the “Ambition 2030” growth program aimed at expanding the company’s global leadership in aircraft fleet technical support. Kirstein previously managed operations in the engine services segment.

On May 15, Derrick Siebert transitioned from Vice President of Commercial Engine Services to Vice President of Operations Engine Services. A month later, Dr. Georg Fanta, formerly Vice President of Commercial Aircraft Component Services, took on the role of Vice President Commercials for Engine Services.

Effective July 1, Thomas Illner, formerly CEO of Lufthansa Technik subsidiary BizJet, was appointed Managing Director and Head of Region Americas at Lufthansa Technik Component Services. Berit Plewinsky succeeded him as Vice President Commercials Aircraft Component Services on July 8, having previously been Senior Director of Product Sales & Fulfillment for the aircraft component segment.

Three additional changes took effect on August 1. Tim-Oliver Fedeler, former Head of Digital Innovation in the component segment of Lufthansa Technik, has been named Managing Director of Lufthansa Technik Component Services Asia Pacific and Senior Director of Product Sales & Fulfillment for the region. Jens Michel, previously Head of Legal Affairs for EMEA, has become Vice President Sales North East Asia. Dr. Alexander Sixt joined Lufthansa Technik Intercoat as Managing Director, having formerly led the Global Competence Center Warehouse & Aircraft Maintenance Solutions at Lufthansa Technik Logistik.

Fabian Nagel, formerly Senior Director of Procurement Engines & Airframe, will assume the role of Vice President Sales VIP & Special Aircraft Services starting August 15. He will succeed Wieland Timm, who will retire in September after over 20 years with the company.
