Lufthansa Systems, a global leader in aviation technology, has announced a strategic partnership with BBN Airlines Indonesia. Under a multi-year contract, BBN Airlines Indonesia will utilize Lufthansa Systems’ cutting-edge charting application, Lido mPilot, and the Lido Flight Management System (FMS). This collaboration marks a significant step as BBN becomes the first Indonesian airline to adopt Lufthansa Systems’ charting solutions.
BBN Airlines Indonesia’s decision to choose Lido mPilot and Lido FMS was based on the high data quality and user-friendliness of the solutions, which enhance operational efficiency. Lido mPilot provides pilots with an all-in-one navigation solution, equipping them with necessary navigation charts, documents, and messages directly on their devices. These charts are generated from the certified Lido FMS navigation database, ensuring precision and quality. Developed collaboratively with navigation experts, pilots, licensed dispatchers, and IT specialists, this solution enhances pilots’ situational awareness, enabling them to focus on safe and efficient aircraft operations.

Lido FMS, another offering by Lufthansa Systems, is a comprehensive and certified navigation database with global coverage. It includes crucial aeronautical data like airports, airways, waypoints, radio beacons, holding patterns, and approaches. Lido FMS holds EASA Service Provider Certificate Type 1 and is compliant with industry standards such as RTCA DO-200, RTCA DO-201, and ARINC 424.
