Sikorsky, of Lockheed Martin, signed a strategic partnership agreement with PT Dirgantara Indonesia for of up to 24 Sikorsky S-70M Black Hawk helicopters to the Republic of Indonesia.

Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, has announced a strategic partnership agreement with Indonesian aerospace company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) to pursue the potential sale of up to 24 Sikorsky S-70M Black Hawk helicopters to the Republic of Indonesia. The agreement was solidified during a visit to the U.S. by Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. This visit aimed to foster collaboration between Indonesia and international defense and industry stakeholders, supporting Indonesia’s military modernization and interoperability efforts.

Jeff White, Vice President of Global Business Development, Sikorsky said, “This agreement demonstrates our mutual interest with PTDI to provide S-70M Black Hawk helicopters to serve Indonesia’s security needs. The Black Hawk is designed and built to the toughest military standards, and it can quickly and reliably deliver personnel and supplies to geographically-dispersed populations across a large archipelagic area such as Indonesia.”

The sought-after S-70M Black Hawk helicopters are manufactured at Lockheed Martin’s PZL Mielec facility in Poland. They are capable of operating in extreme weather conditions, day or night, making them a trusted choice for operators worldwide.
