18 July 2020: In today’s times of COVID-19 pandemic where paperless and touch less solutions are in demand, Liebherr-Aerospace has made use of digital data during shop floor management and developed the proprietary eLIROM software for its service centre network. This software will process all the repair activities from incoming inspection to the final acceptance test with an increased efficiency by 30 per cent. This is achieved during ordering parts, documentation of work and many other process steps.
This fully digitised workflow empowers Liebherr-Aerospace shop personnel to make use of digital data during shop floor management and illustrates them in various visual management applications. eLIROM supports in collecting as well as analyzing MRO activities in each Liebherr-Aerospace service centre across the whole network – all of this in real-time. This newly gained transparency allows both the identification and exchange of best process practices. Benchmarks can be set to provide the customers with more time- and cost-efficient MRO services.
