L3Harris Technologies, a leading aerospace and defense company, has successfully completed its acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne, solidifying a fourth business segment within the organization. The acquisition was officially concluded following a definitive agreement signed in December 2022, highlighting L3Harris’ commitment to strengthening the defense industrial base, promoting healthy competition, and accelerating innovation in the realm of propulsion systems.

With the integration of Aerojet Rocketdyne into the L3Harris family, the company now boasts more than 5,000 additional employees who bring invaluable expertise and capabilities in propulsion and energetics. This strategic move is designed to bolster national security efforts and enable the Department of Defense and civil space customers to effectively address critical mission requirements on a global scale.

The Aerojet Rocketdyne segment at L3Harris will be led by Ross Niebergall, who will serve as its President.
