Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services AS equips IFS Cloud
KAMS is planning to deploy a suite of IFS Cloud modules, including functionalities for MRO, supply chain, projects, procurement, finance, CRM, and HSE.

The implementation of IFS Cloud will improve TAT and reduce costs for KAMS, further assisting in optimizing processes for increased productivity, sourcing, planning, maintenance execution, and financial reporting.

IFS, the global cloud enterprise software company, has announced that Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services AS (KAMS), a leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services in the aviation industry for military and civil organizations, has selected IFS Cloud to enhance operational efficiency and build long-term asset resilience.

The implementation of IFS Cloud aims to improve turnaround time (TAT) and reduce costs for KAMS, facilitating business expansion and new customer acquisition. The comprehensive functionality of IFS Cloud will assist KAMS in optimizing processes for increased productivity, encompassing resource allocation, sourcing, planning, maintenance execution, and financial reporting.

Furthermore, IFS Cloud will enable KAMS to automate its order-to-cash process, covering customer quoting, planning, maintenance execution, and invoicing. This automation will eliminate operational silos and reduce manual labor, enhancing overall efficiency.

Andre Jægtvik, Acting President, KAMS said, “We look forward to partnering with IFS, and utilizing their technology in the years to come. Our industry is rapidly changing with the introduction of new technology, and we must change with it.”

KAMS is planning to deploy a comprehensive suite of IFS Cloud modules, including functionalities for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), supply chain, projects, procurement, finance, CRM, and health safety and environment (HSE). The deployment will cater to the needs of 500 users across four sites in Norway. The implementation will be facilitated by IFS alliance partner CGI.

Ann-Kristin Sander, Managing Director Nordics, IFS said, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with KAMS. They are not only key suppliers to the Norwegian Air Force, but they are also playing a vital role in growing NATO’s production defense capacity. At a time when the wider aerospace and defense market is undergoing rapid growth, IFS Cloud will be helping KAMS to produce more flight hours with effective operations at a reduced cost, which will in turn increase the Air Force’s availability for NATO.”

Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (KAMS) has been a significant player in the Norwegian aviation industry since 1916. Initially established as part of the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organization (NDLO) at Kjeller, KAMS transformed into a state enterprise in 2011, with majority ownership by Kongsberg and Patria after their acquisition in 2019. Specializing in repair, overhaul, modifications, and testing of components for military aircraft and helicopters, KAMS is also involved in the recycling of spare parts. The strategic partnership with NDLO in 2019 aimed to develop the maintenance scope of military aircraft and helicopters.
