KlasJet has announced the addition of a new Boeing 737-800 NG registered as LY-SLX with 186 passengers seating its fleet increasing the total number of jets dedicated to ACMI operations to seven set to begin operations in mid-May 2024.

KlasJet, a prominent charter company within the Avia Solutions Group—the world’s largest ACMI provider—recently announced the addition of a new Boeing 737-800 NG to its fleet. This acquisition increases the total number of jets dedicated to ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) operations to seven. The new aircraft, registered as LY-SLX, seats 186 passengers and is set to begin operations in mid-May, gearing up for a bustling summer season.

KlasJet currently operates a mixed fleet of 14 aircraft, providing both VIP full charter flights and ACMI services. Its VIP service fleet offers configurations ranging from 10 to 68 seats, while its ACMI services accommodate either 186 or 189 passengers per flight. This strategic expansion is a response to the increasing demand for leased aircraft operations, which provide flexibility and cost-efficiency to airlines needing additional capacity.

“ACMI services is a relatively new field to us, as we entered it only in 2023. Nevertheless, over such a short period of time we have managed to secure multiple long-term contracts, while expanding our fleet accordingly. And even though finding suitable aircraft on the market is rather challenging these days, we are aiming for a 50-strong fleet within the next 5 years,” said Justinas Bulka, CEO, KlasJet.

The Avia Solutions Group, of which KlasJet is a key member, operates a vast fleet of 212 aircraft through its various subsidiaries, including SmartLynx, Avion Express, BBN Indonesia Airlines, KlasJet, and Magma Aviation. The group’s comprehensive aviation services extend beyond ACMI to include MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, and ground handling, among other associated services. Supported by over 12,000 highly skilled aviation professionals, Avia Solutions Group serves customers globally, reinforcing its position as a powerhouse in the aviation industry.
