Boeing, the American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, has announced the appointment of Joe Benson as the new President of Boeing Business Jets (BBJ). BBJ is the VIP jet division of the company, which provides business jets to heads of state, VIP, corporate, and charter customers.

Benson, who previously served as the deputy to the president and business director of BBJ, has held various leadership positions since joining Boeing in 2010. He brings his extensive experience and industry relationships to his new role, where he will oversee sales, support, and operations for the company’s portfolio of business jets.

Benson succeeds Erika Pearson, who was recently named Vice President of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Sales and Marketing in Southeast Asia & Oceania. Under Pearson’s leadership, BBJ expanded its portfolio of VIP customers, including governments and private individuals, and delivered its first BBJ MAX 7 aircraft.

With over 260 jets sold since the business was founded in 1996, Boeing Business Jets offer customers private jets that redefine comfort and convenience. These high-performance aircraft, including the BBJ 737 MAX, BBJ 787 Dreamliner, and BBJ 777X, can be uniquely customized for private, business, or governmental use. Benson’s appointment is expected to ensure strong leadership continuity for customers.

Boeing Business Jets are supported by the company’s global service network, which is the largest OEM-provided network of services, parts, and maintenance. With this support, BBJ customers have access to a wide range of services, including remote diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, as well as training and upgrades.
