JFL Credit Opportunities, LLC has partnered with Powerhouse Engines to establish a new engine investment program, providing capital to support the acquisition of commercial aircraft engines as Powerhouse expands into engine trading and aftermarket parts.
Based in Miami, Florida, Powerhouse is an aviation services provider specialising in the leasing and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of CFM56 commercial aircraft engines. The company combines its established leasing platform, in-house MRO capabilities and technical expertise to support airlines and aircraft lessors with engine maintenance and technical services.
Under the new partnership, investment affiliates of JFL Credit will provide funding for Powerhouse to pursue commercial aircraft engine acquisitions and expand its engine trading and aftermarket parts operations.
The initiative will build on Powerhouse’s existing leasing and MRO capabilities while creating a more integrated platform serving a broader range of customer requirements and transaction types.

JFL Credit Partner and Co-Head Lionel Jolivot said Powerhouse has developed a differentiated position in the CFM56 market, supported by high-quality workmanship, quick turnaround times and a solutions-oriented approach to complex technical challenges.
JFL Credit Vice President Sandra Wong added that the company’s established leasing and MRO capabilities provide a strong foundation for its expansion into engine trading and aftermarket parts.
Powerhouse CEO Eric Engdahl said the partnership would enable the company to pursue engine acquisition opportunities while developing its trading and aftermarket parts capabilities. The investment will also allow Powerhouse to leverage the technical expertise and infrastructure developed through its leasing and MRO operations.
The new programme is expected to strengthen Powerhouse’s position across the commercial aircraft engine aftermarket while expanding its capabilities beyond leasing and MRO services.
