JetZero has begun construction of its first manufacturing and final assembly facility in Greensboro, North Carolina, where the company plans to produce its Z4 aircraft.
The facility will cover approximately 8 million square feet across more than 600 acres and is expected to create 14,500 jobs over the next 10 years. The project is supported by a state incentive package and represents an investment of approximately $4.7 billion, according to company and state officials.

The Greensboro campus will serve as the production site for JetZero’s Z4 aircraft, which is designed to carry up to 250 passengers over a range of 5,000 nautical miles. The company states that the aircraft could reduce fuel consumption by up to 50% compared with conventional aircraft of similar capacity.
JetZero is also developing military variants of the platform, including aerial refuelling and transport aircraft.
The manufacturing facility is being designed using digital twin and artificial intelligence-enabled tools developed in collaboration with Siemens and Deloitte. According to the companies, the technology will allow engineers to simulate factory operations, including production workflows, equipment placement and material movement, before construction is completed.
“Our partnership with JetZero demonstrates how industrial technology can support advanced manufacturing in the United States,” said Ann Fairchild, President and CEO of Siemens USA.
Kelly Herod, Chief Client Officer at Deloitte, said the project will combine digital manufacturing tools, automation and artificial intelligence to support production planning and operational efficiency.
Construction at the Greensboro site has begun, with hiring expected to take place in phases as the facility is developed over the coming decade.
JetZero is an aerospace company developing commercial and military aircraft based on a blended-wing airframe configuration. The company has previously announced partnerships with aerospace manufacturers and technology providers to support aircraft development and production activities.
