JetBlue signs latest codeshare agreement with Air Serbia

JetBlue signs latest codeshare agreement with Air Serbia.
Overall, the new partnership between JetBlue and Air Serbia promises to be a win-win for both airlines and their customers.

The JetBlue partnership will enhance travel options for customers, offering more convenience and connectivity between the United States and destinations within the Air Serbia network.

JetBlue and Air Serbia have announced a new partnership, allowing Air Serbia-operated flights to be available on JetBlue.com through a new codeshare agreement. The partnership aims to enhance travel options for customers, offering more convenience and connectivity between the United States and destinations within the Air Serbia network, particularly in the Balkan region.

Effective from July 26, 2023, JetBlue has placed its “B6” airline code on Air Serbia-operated nonstop flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG). This allows JetBlue customers to seamlessly book and travel on these flights, enjoying the benefits of JetBlue’s low fares and excellent service.

In the near future, JetBlue plans to expand its codeshare to include other flights between Belgrade and various points in Europe, further broadening the range of travel options available to its customers. On the other hand, Air Serbia is planning to add its “JU” airline code to 25 destinations within the JetBlue network, enabling its passengers to connect to multiple destinations across the United States.

“We continuously look to expand our partnerships to offer more options to our customers. Air Serbia has been a successful interline partner since 2016 and we see great potential with this new codeshare,” said Robin Hayes, chief executive officer, JetBlue. “We welcome customers from Air Serbia aboard our flights, so they can experience our low fares and great service,” he further added.

The codeshare agreement between JetBlue and Air Serbia comes as a result of their mutual desire to enhance travel options and provide greater flexibility to their respective customers. By combining their networks and resources, both airlines aim to create a more robust and efficient travel experience, making it easier for passengers to explore new destinations and connect with loved ones.

“We are very pleased with the future collaboration with JetBlue and believe that this significantly enhances the travel possibilities between the United States and destinations within the Air Serbia network, especially those in the broader Balkan region,” said Jiri Marek, chief executive officer, Air Serbia.
