Jet Aviation secures FOCA approval for Line Maintenance in Zurich

Zurich is a key hub for Jet Aviation to provide permanent line maintenance to Jet Aviation customers.

Jet Aviation Line Maintenance Repair Station in Zurich is authorized to perform line maintenance on a range of business aircraft by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA).

Jet Aviation announces that it has obtained approval from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) for its Line Maintenance Repair Station in Zurich. The facility is authorized to perform line maintenance on a range of business aircraft.

“We are delighted to add Zurich to our European maintenance network on an ongoing basis,” said Cyril Martiniere, Jet Aviation’s VP MRO Services Europe & GM Basel. “Zurich is a key hub for our customers and providing permanent line maintenance on-site was a natural next step in our commitment to an effortless maintenance experience in Europe and beyond,” he further added.

Under a temporary extension of the company’s Basel site authorizations, Jet Aviation began performing line maintenance in Zurich in May 2022. The facility is now wholly authorized for line maintenance on a variety of business jets following a successful audit by FOCA in early 2023.

“The station has been very well received by our customers, who appreciate the opportunity for line maintenance on-site,” says Stefan Verkaik, director of Aftermarket Services & AOG. “The audit was a fantastic opportunity to continue strengthening this service in Zurich, and ensure efficient, safe, and seamless on-site line maintenance for customers visiting our facility,” he further added.

In 1969, Jet Aviation opened a location at Zurich Airport. The site was enlarged in June 2021 through the purchase of the old ExecuJet Zurich FBO facilities. The acquisition expanded the company’s existing Zurich footprint by adding a multifunctional, cutting-edge terminal for passengers and crews, a 2,500 square meter hangar next to the terminal, a second nearly 5,000 square meters arched hangar, and two roughly 5,000 square meter private ramps. Jet Aviation provides AOG services globally as well as base servicing in Basel, Geneva, Dubai, and Singapore.

A wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, Jet Aviation has 50 locations and 4,000 workers globally. The services provided by Jet Aviation include management of aircraft, sales of aircraft, charter, completions, defense, FBO, repair, and staffing.
