Jan Čáp joins AERO as Executive Vice President and Chief Industrial Officer

Jan Čáp has many years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, both domestically and abroad.

Jan Čáp in his new role at AERO will be in charge of the complete supply chain from operational purchasing through production and assembly to output quality control.

AERO, the largest aircraft manufacturer in the Czech Republic has announced the appointment of Jan Čáp as the company’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Industrial Officer. AERO has strengthened its top management with this new appointment. Jan Čáp took up his new responsibility on 23rd January 2023. The experienced manager has returned to AERO after three years. Jan Čáp in his new role as VP and Chief Industrial Officer will be in charge of the complete supply chain from operational purchasing through production and assembly to output quality control.

“We are strengthening the team with a strong manager with international experience who will cover our entire production process. I believe that thanks to his experience and skills we will further accelerate the serial production of aircraft and move it towards LEAN processes, Industry 4.0 and readiness for the implementation of the new ERP information system,” says Viktor Sotona, President and Chief Executive Officer, AERO.

Jan Čáp has many years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, both domestically and abroad. He has played a role in setting up aerospace manufacturing within GE Aviation in the UK. Jan Čáp has gained experience in the automotive, electrical and predominantly aerospace industries with international companies such as Avon Rubber plc, Continental AG, Precision Castparts Corp, General Electric, Moog Inc. and also AERO where he held the same position from 2017-2019.

“I consider it essential to accelerate modernization, which will allow us to streamline the production process, increase production capacity and its overall volume. This will make AERO ready for the ever-increasing demand. Strengthening our staff capacity will also be key,” says Jan Čáp, Executive Vice President and Chief Industrial Officer, AERO.
