By practising with these questions, you can better prepare your responses and feel more confident during the actual interview,” she explains.

For example, if asked about a challenging situation you faced and overcame, AI recommends selecting a situation that demonstrates your problem-solving skills, resilience, and ability to work under pressure. With AI’s assistance, you can refine your answers and present yourself in the best possible light to potential employers.”
AI can also be used for a mock interview. “AI can act as an interviewer or hiring manager, asking you questions and engaging in a back-and-forth conversation. This practice session allows you to refine your responses, improve your communication skills, and gain confidence in your interview performance,” she shares.
Additionally, AI can offer interview tips and guidance on various aspects of the interview process. “Whether it’s advice on dressing appropriately, researching the company, or utilising body language, AI can provide valuable insights to help you excel in your interview.
Hogervorst believes that AI can be used instead of or as an addition to more traditional ways of preparation. “There are experienced trainers and online courses that can help candidates prepare for interview questions, reduce job-hunt related stress and better present themselves during the process.”
