The project, led by IAI's Aviation Group - Engineering and Development center, focuses on developing and installing cutting-edge health monitoring systems in aerial vehicles.

IAI leverages its expertise in aerial vehicles to integrate and certify new capabilities, ensuring a seamless incorporation of this technology into the Israel Aerospace Industries UH60 helicopter.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Odysight.ai have jointly revealed an advanced visual-based health monitoring system for UH60 helicopters, aiming to enhance safety and operational efficiency. The UH60 helicopter is widely used for various missions, including search and rescue, medical evacuation, and passenger and equipment transportation. The new system utilizes a multicamera setup, providing real-time monitoring of the helicopter’s systems and enabling early detection of component degradation and potential malfunctions.

The visual-based health monitoring system is equipped with Odysight.ai’s cutting-edge visual sensing and video analytics technology, comprising multiple highly resilient cameras, a high-performance processing unit, machine vision embedded software, and AI/ML models and algorithms. These components facilitate various predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring solutions, capturing real-time visual conditions of safety-critical components placed strategically throughout the helicopter.
