This marks the first A320neo jet for IndiGo as part of a five-aircraft operating lease transaction with High Ridge Aviation, with the remaining four aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2023.

High Ridge Aviation has achieved a significant milestone by delivering its first new aircraft to IndiGo, India’s largest carrier. The Airbus A320-251N, with Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) 11613, was delivered on August 4 in Toulouse, France. This marks the first A320neo aircraft to be received by IndiGo as part of a five-aircraft operating lease transaction with High Ridge Aviation, with the remaining four aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2023.

IndiGo, a rapidly growing low-cost carrier, sees this acquisition as a strategic move to capitalize on the robust growth trajectory of the Indian economy. The country is currently one of the world’s fastest-growing civil aviation markets. Riyaz Peermohamed, Chief Aircraft Acquisition and Financing Officer of IndiGo, emphasized the airline’s commitment to expanding its network both domestically and internationally, in alignment with the growing demand for air travel in India.

IndiGo’s philosophy centers around affordability, punctuality, and providing a seamless travel experience for its passengers. With a fleet of over 300 aircraft, the airline operates more than 1,850 daily flights, connecting 79 domestic destinations. IndiGo’s ambitious plans include further expansion into international markets, with a goal of serving 32 international destinations in the near future.
