Richard Sell, as the new CEO of HAECO, will be responsible for leading the group’s operations, driving its business strategy and focusing on ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.

HAECO Group, a prominent global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, has announced the appointment of Richard Sell as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Effective from 1 July 2023, Sell will succeed Frank Walschot, who will continue to support the company as an advisor. As the new CEO of HAECO, Richard Sell will be responsible for leading the group’s operations and driving its business strategy. His focus will be on ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence to meet the diverse needs of HAECO’s global customer base.

Richard Sell brings with him over 20 years of leadership experience across diverse industries and corporate structures, making him an invaluable addition to the HAECO team. Currently serving as the CEO of Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Ltd (HAESL), a joint venture between HAECO and Rolls-Royce, Sell also holds director positions at Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Ltd and Goodrich Asia-Pacific Ltd.

Prior to his current role, Richard Sell held management positions within various Swire group companies, including Cathay Pacific Airways, Swire Pacific, The China Navigation Company, Swire Energy Services, and Swire Pacific Offshore. His extensive experience spans the aviation, marine, retail, and distribution sectors, overseeing wholly-owned subsidiaries and joint ventures across Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and Europe.
