Bell has announced the appointment of Glenn Isbell, Vice President of Prototyping, to the Texas Task Force on Modernizing Manufacturing, an initiative established by Greg Abbott to support the modernization of the state’s manufacturing sector.
The 15-member advisory body has been tasked with evaluating and recommending strategies to advance manufacturing capabilities across small, medium-sized and large manufacturers throughout Texas.
At Bell, Isbell oversees the development of new materials and manufacturing processes, focusing on integrating advanced production technologies with digital design capabilities for the company’s next-generation aircraft programmes. His responsibilities also include expanding prototyping and testing infrastructure to accelerate product development cycles.
“It’s an honor to be appointed to this task force and to represent Bell among other industry leaders,” said Isbell. “I look forward to having meaningful dialogue and proposing strong solutions that will increase our manufacturing capabilities in Texas.”
Bell said the appointment will provide the company with representation in discussions related to manufacturing policy and innovation as it continues to advance prototyping, advanced manufacturing technologies and production activities.
Isbell joins Sonja Clarke, further expanding Bell’s participation in state-level industry initiatives.
Isbell’s appointment underscores the growing focus on advanced manufacturing and industrial modernization in Texas, with aerospace manufacturers playing an active role in shaping future workforce, technology and production strategies.
