GA Telesis Engine Services has initiated the disassembly of the first CFM International CFM56-7B engine and has completed the disassembly of two CFM56-7B LPT Modules at the SPAH in Wilmington, Ohio, U.S. 

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) has initiated the disassembly of the first CFM International CFM56-7B engine and successfully completed the disassembly of two CFM56-7B Low-Pressure Turbine (LPT) Modules at the Specialized Procedures Aeroengine Hospital (SPAH) in Wilmington, Ohio. The CFM56-7B engine and LPT Modules were delivered to SPAH by Aero Engine Solutions (AES). This marks a significant milestone for the joint venture between GA Telesis, LLC, and Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG).

The successful disassembly operations underscore the strategic growth initiatives at GATES US. GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a fully integrated subsidiary of GA Telesis, plays a crucial role in offering customers a comprehensive engine solution. The Helsinki-based GATES facility operates under various international aviation authorities’ approvals, including FAA, EASA, CAAC, TCCA, DGAC, GACA, ANAC, and ECAA for CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B, and General Electric CF6-80C2 turbine engines. The facility features an integrated test cell capable of handling up to 100,000 pounds of thrust and has the capacity to overhaul up to 200 engines annually. GATES Go-Team, authorized by EASA, is among the few companies permitted to perform remote repairs on installed aircraft engines.
