GA-ASI, Thales Belgium, Octave Intelligence plc and dotOcean have signed an MoU to collaborate on the integration and manufacturing of multi-domain ISR capabilities for the MQ-9B SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian remotely piloted aircraft. The agreement was signed during the Farnborough International Airshow as part of Belgium’s industrial cooperation initiative.
“We’re excited to be working with these important aerospace businesses in Belgium,” said GA-ASI CEO Linden Blue. He further said, “We look forward to working with Thales, Octave, and dotOcean to help us develop software for our intelligence center that will be rooted in GA-ASI’s situational awareness capability. We expect the human-machine interface, external interface adaptors, and additional automated data exploitation to come from Belgian industry.”
The partnership is intended to support the growing number of MQ-9B operators, particularly in Europe. Belgium has joined the UK as one of the first European countries to begin operating the MQ-9B platform.

“Octave is proud to partner with GA-ASI, Thales, and dotOcean to advance innovation for Belgian Defence and beyond,” said Maximilian Weber, Octave Intelligence plc Vice President in Europe. He adds, “The integration of Octave Alto, relied on by defense agencies around the world, will bring advanced visualization and real-time situational analysis capabilities to support fast, coordinated decision-making.”
The MoU also expands industrial cooperation between GA-ASI and the Belgian aerospace sector, supporting the integration of advanced ISR technologies for current and future MQ-9B customers.
