Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) has placed a firm order for two additional Embraer E175 regional jets, further expanding its all-Embraer fleet as the Japanese carrier strengthens regional connectivity and prepares for future growth.
The new aircraft will be configured with 84 seats in a single-class layout and are scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028. The order has been added to Embraer’s backlog and will increase Fuji Dream Airlines’ fleet to 17 E-Jets, comprising two E170s and 15 E175s.
The latest order reinforces the airline’s long-standing partnership with Embraer, which began when Fuji Dream Airlines launched operations in 2009. Since then, the carrier has built its network around Embraer’s regional aircraft, supporting high-frequency services across Japan.
Fuji Dream Airlines said it has achieved a fleet schedule reliability rate of more than 99.8% over the past 12 months, highlighting the operational performance and dependability of its Embraer fleet.
Designed for regional and short-haul operations, the Embraer E175 offers airlines a combination of fuel efficiency, operational flexibility and passenger comfort, making it well suited for high-frequency routes and regional network expansion.
The additional aircraft will support Fuji Dream Airlines’ continued growth strategy while enhancing connectivity across Japan’s regional markets through an expanded fleet of next-generation Embraer jets.
