The FSG state-of-the-art facility, measuring 87 m in length, 86 m in width, and 27 m in height, has been designed to accommodate wide-body aircraft such as the A330, A350, B787, and B777.

Fokker Services Group (FSG), a renowned independent leader in aerospace services, proudly inaugurates its new wide-body hangar in Hoogerheide, The Netherlands, as a testament to its commitment to customers, suppliers, employees, and the local community. This impressive state-of-the-art facility, measuring 87 meters in length, 86 meters in width, and 27 meters in height, has been designed to accommodate wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A330, A350, Boeing B787, and B777. It will play a pivotal role in meeting the growing market demand for completion services, solidifying FSG’s long-term objectives.

Sustainability was at the forefront of FSG’s vision for this project, leading to the development of a fully electrically powered hangar and the implementation of an environmentally friendly geothermal energy system. In addition, the company plans to install photovoltaic solar power capacity on the hangar’s rooftop by the end of 2023, reducing reliance on external energy sources.

The hangar’s design was a collaborative effort with Gaptek, a leader in modular architecture, utilizing their patented lightweight system. These sustainable advancements will result in a remarkable 75% reduction in CO2 emissions during construction compared to conventional hangars. The announcement of the new hangar took place during the prestigious European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), a leading event in the on-demand aircraft industry.
