flyExclusive elevates the fleet with best-in-class G5000 avionics technology

With this technology, flyExclusive pilots will now have the most robust avionics technology available to enhance the reliability and safety of the private jet experience.
G5000 leads to increased dispatch reliability to help optimize fleet availability even amid peak demand, reducing trip cancellations and the need for a replacement lift.

The G5000 is one of the most intuitive pilot-vehicle interfaces available in the market.

flyExclusive is planning to advance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of its fleet with the installation of the state-of-the-art Garmin G5000advanced flight deck. The G5000 demonstrates flyExclusive’s commitment to harnessing innovative technology to enhance operations and deliver elite experiences for its private jet customers thus making flyExclusive our Airline of the week.

The G5000 is one of the most intuitive pilot-vehicle interfaces available in the marketplace and with the addition of the G5000 to its fleet flyExclusive will transform the way its crew members access flight data. The modernized layout is optimized for fewer hand/eye movements in the cockpit, giving flight crews complete control over navigation and communications systems, traffic surveillance systems, electronic checklist entries, and remote audio/intercom systems as well as optional charting, traffic, weather, entertainment, and custom display options.

Features of G5000

  • Advanced flight deck for crew-flown business jets
  • Bright high-resolution displays with SVT™ let you see clearly even in IFR conditions
  • Displays divide into 2 pages to help display multiple systems and sensors
  • Intuitive touchscreen interface with shallow menus and audible feedback
  • Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems
  • Weather, charts, traffic, terrain, and Global connectivity options

Tommy Sowers, president, flyExclusive said, “flyExclusive is harnessing technology innovation in a way no other Part 135 operator in the marketplace can match. By upgrading our aircraft with the G5000, we’re elevating our fleet to incorporate the best of the best in avionics technology. This and other investments we are making in technology will help further our mission of providing the safest, most reliable, and most efficient private jet experiences in the market.”

Revolutionize the way of using flight Data

The G5000 has up to 4 GTC touchscreen vehicle management controllers that act as the gateway to the entire avionics’ suite. It is responsive and icon-identified with “touch keys” that make functions easy to locate and can be accessed with fewer hand/eye movements in the cockpit. With a few finger movements, the pilot can have complete control over navigation and communication systems, traffic surveillance systems, flight management systems, electronic checklist entries, and remote audio/intercom systems, as well as optional charting, traffic, weather, and entertainment and custom display options. The GTC controller can even double as a standby flight display in some configurations.

flyExclusive and Force Aviation

flyExclusive will partner with Force Aviation to install the G5000 system in 10 of its Cessna Citation Excel aircraft. The private jet charter company chose Force Aviation because of its more than 100 years of collective experience in avionics and preventative maintenance. Like flyExclusive, Force Aviation is deeply committed to providing superior service to its customers and partners as well as preserving the highest quality standards in its business practices.

Kelly Brown, director of sales, Force Aviation said, “As a leader in avionics installation and repair and a Garmin Platinum Dealer, we pride ourselves on working with the best brands in aviation to equip their fleets with the most innovative technology available. We are excited to partner with flyExclusive on the installation of the G5000 system in their aircraft, giving their pilots a new tool to deliver seamless experiences for pilots and customers.”

Additional benefits of the G5000 for flyExclusive’s fleet include:

  • Increased dispatch reliability to help optimize fleet availability even amid peak demand, reducing trip cancellations and the need for a replacement lift
  • Enhanced safety for crews and passengers due to increased situational awareness and additional safety-aiding items
  • Familiarity for pilots trained in Garmin avionics systems and highly intuitive system for those using the system for the first time compared to other integrated flight decks in the market
  • Ability to display Charts, Datalink Weather, detailed taxi diagrams, Synthetic Vision, and options for Controller Pilot Data Link Communications
  • Modernized cockpit layout to match new production aircraft

“We designed the G5000 to provide one of the most intuitive pilot-vehicle interfaces available in any business jet avionics system,” said Dave Brown, manager, integrated flight deck retrofit programs, Garmin. “With this technology, flyExclusive pilots will now have the most robust avionics technology available to enhance the reliability and safety of the private jet experience for flyExclusive’s customers.”

Removes Clutter

With its touchscreen controls, G5000 eliminates visual clutter. Mechanical knobs, buttons, and selector switches have been replaced with a series of large, WXGA high-resolution displays. Each all-purpose display can function independently as a Primary Flight Display (PFD) or Multifunction Display (MFD). These displays can also function in multi-pane mode, displaying both PFD and MFD side-by-side on the same screen.

Visualize Intuitive Flight

The PFD’s widescreen aspect ratio provides a panoramic view of our renowned SVT Synthetic Vision Technology. Using the system’s terrain alerting database, SVT enhances situational awareness by creating a “virtual reality” depiction of ground and water features, obstacles, and traffic in proximity of your aircraft leading to a realistic picture of what lies beyond the nose of the plane — even in solid IFR or night-time VFR conditions.

Also, by Dividing the MFD capabilities into 2 vertical pages on the secondary display it becomes easy to choose what to pair and display at any point during the flight sequence — such as airway charts and approach plates, or satellite weather and flight planning. Traffic, radar, TAWS alerts, video inputs, and more are right there at the touch of a screen.

Graphical Synoptics for airframe, electrical, and fuel systems offer easier monitoring and faster troubleshooting. Plus, the new displays allow for enhanced viewing and management of multiple sensor inputs that make the MFD even more powerful.

G5000 is highly configurable and upgradeable. It can support technology as it becomes available, including NextGen and SESAR. Options, such as traffic receivers, satellite weather, communications, and digital radar, can easily be added. Database and software updates are easy to handle with the system’s built-in SD card reader.
