The T-1A upgrade contract with Field Aerospace is part of the Air Force's ongoing efforts to maintain a high standard of pilot training and readiness.

The option is part of the Field Aerospace and USAF T-1A upgrade contract involving upgrading three Operational Flight Trainer simulators and providing one new Part Task Trainer simulator.

Field Aerospace has been awarded a new contract option by The United States Air Force to, a prominent aircraft modification and support service provider. This option is part of the T-1A upgrade contract and involves upgrading three Operational Flight Trainer simulators and providing one new Part Task Trainer simulator. The upgraded simulators will reflect the T-1A AMP aircraft configuration and will be used by the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) to train USAF pilots.

The T-1A Jayhawk is a medium-range, twin-engine jet trainer utilized by AETC to train future pilots for the Air Force’s airlift and tanker aircraft, including the KC-135, KC-46, and C-130. The T-1A AMP upgrade program, completed earlier this year, focused on avionics modifications for the T-1A fleet, enhancing its capabilities and ensuring it remains effective in preparing pilots for critical missions.

With this new contract option, Field Aerospace continues to play a significant role in supporting the Air Force’s pilot training efforts.
